GRID STEP. You can print out the base construction lines and start drawing on tracing paper, or you can draw the grid layout yourself using the following steps.• Locate the head in advance and draw its approximate size using an oval • Draw 1 horizontal line above the head. Add another line a little further out. • Draw 1 horizontal line under the head. Below it, add 4 more lines at the height of the head. • Use a vertical line to cut the head in half. To the left and right of the head, draw a line: -on the left 2 lines equal to the width of the head; -on the right 3 lines equal to the width of the head.

STEP 1. From the head, draw a line. Add two shapes and a line between them, this will be the body.

STEP 2. Sketch Saturn's arms and legs and mark the joints with circles. Draw auxiliary lines and figures for his son. Erase any excess lines.

STEP 4. Mark the eyes, nose and mouth. Make the silhouette of Saturn's hands more distinct. Draw the son's feet. At the bottom, add lines for the ground. Remove any unnecessary auxiliary lines.

STEP 5. Draw Saturn's hair and the patch on his clothes. Sketch the son's hand in a wide-open mouth. Also draw the son's arse.

STEP 6. Add more curls to Saturn. Draw his fingers. Mark the patches on his clothes.

STEP 7. Finish the hair. Detail the face. Add lines to Saturn's body and clothing.

STEP 8. Check that there are no extra lines in the drawing. Contour Saturn and son, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line.
